THINK and EAT PINK!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
If you need an excuse to support a great cause, the city of Chicago (Chi-town! ) is going pink at some of it’s most highly-awarded and talked-about restaurants.
The city known for great deep dish pizza, Chicago dogs and of course the Italian beef sandwich is going PINK to help raise awareness for breast cancer!
So where should you eat, drink and support breast cancer when in The Windy City?
Here is a quick round-up
The Peninsula Chicago
The luxurious 5-star hotel, The Peninsula Chicago has been supporting Breast Cancer Awareness for more than six years. Raising more than half a million dollars already, guests and visitors can add to this wonderful initiative by stopping in The Lobby for a pink cocktail or even a Think Pink Massage #Pediforacure !
But for those who like something sweet, make a reservation for the special Art of Pink Peninsula Afternoon Tea with sweet and savory treats.
Monday through Saturday, tea seatings are at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm and on Sundays between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm. The “Pretty in Pink” cocktail will be featured in The Bar with a donation from each purchase. Pierrot Gourmet, the European café downstairs of the hotel will feature a Rose Lychee Macaron for US$ 8, with US$ 2 from each purchase donated.
GT PRIME, Chicago
GT Prime is the hottest restaurant in Chicago right now. The owners of other great Chicago restaurants like Boka and GT Oyster are donating US$1 from each corn and jalapeno side dish. It is totally delicious and goes perfectly with their Wagyu steak, so eat up and support breast cancer this month
