Delicious food from Braseiro da Gavea

Places I love by Leo Neves – Rio Local

Comuna (kind of a bar/pub/club/art gallery/concert venue, good for burger and beer and friends)

Refeitório Orgânico (vegan organic restaurant, best vegan place in Rio in my opinion – and i’m not vegan)

Braseiro da Gavea (Brazilian food, meat, barbecue and stuff)

Prana (great vegetarian food)

Mineiro (another great brazilian food place, great feijoada and the special bolinho de feijoada)

Empório Jardim (excellent place for coffee, breakfast and afternoon tea), Cervantes (good for snacks)

Mil Frutas (best ice-cream/gelato in Rio)

All of those are located in the South side of the city, in the beach area (Copacabana, Botafogo, Gávea, Leblon etc).

Where would you take friends from out of town?

My first options to take out of town friends are definitely Mineiro, Empório Jardim and Mil Frutas.
