Seriously sticky party wings

What? Maple Syrup ?

It’s that time of the year where you stuff yourself silly with delicious food

There are smart ways to invite guests over… and NO, it definitely doesn’t include opening up a tub of cream cheese and mixing in some horrible dry herbs and pouring stale crackers to make it look fancy.

To me, that is way to much effort anyway, so here is a totally delectable recipe that you will LOVE

My Aunty E is the queen of delicious sticky-wicky chicken wings
It is so simple, minimal cleaning up and well… totally addictive

I’ve added a special ingredient to make it more FALL like… maple syrup
You can’t get any better than a touch of sweetness, mixed with a soy glaze and oh well… crunchy garlic chips if you are want to fend of ‘boring’ conversations at a party!

Oh b*critic… you are too much

oh – and leftovers – what leftovers?
You could definitely pull off the tender, garlic-y meat and make a delicious Vietnamese Salad… up next!

Maple Syrup and Garlic Chicken Wings
Serves 6–8
Chicken wings 1 kg (2 lb 3 oz)
Garlic 5–8 cloves, peeled and chopped
Light soy sauce 3 Tbsp
Oyster sauce 1 Tbsp
1 tablespoon absolute pure maple syrup
Sherry, Port or water 1 Tbsp
Ground white pepper 1/2 tsp
1. Wash chicken wings under cold running water. Drain well.
2. Mix marinade ingredients in a bowl and place chicken wings in to coat completely in the sticky sauce. Leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
4. Preheat oven to 180˚C (350˚F).
5. Line a baking tray with foil and arrange chicken wings over. Reserve leftover marinade sauce.
6. Bake for about 25 minutes, until chicken wings are slightly charred on the outside. Pour leftover marinade over the wings and continue to bake for another 10 minutes, until chicken wings are crusty on the outside.
7. Serve immediately or you’ll be left hungry! for more ideas!
